- "The course of Peter Blast begins again Thursday September 30 at The Roxy Bar Live. Crashdiet as opening and ends with shows in Lanus and Burzaco. Then I leave you a exclusive interview, a mixture of Bohemian Vagabond. These days, the city of Buenos Aires has a foreign visitor. A singer, guitarist born in the United States. Peter Blast is a true runner, rock and roll, who extends his adventures to new places and new faces. He loves to be on the road and the hotel life. For Peter Blast the rock is a lifestyle. Peter Blast Live at The Roxy Bar."
Feb. 2011 New York Waste Music ( winter issue ) Review By: Star Tucker:
- "PETER BLAST, Straight Up No Ice" is straight up rock n roll to the Max ! Four Tracks to rock your soul to. Mix all of your all time fav rockers, add a shake of millenium spice from Sami Yaffa, a sprinkle of Geno Martino and Dan Curry among the chosen few and you have something going on. This CD Really gets your mojo working.
Straight Up No Ice Review By: Tamara Guo a.k.a. Blue Lena, The Keith Shrine (2010)
- With a little Punk, Attitude and a Cigarette thrown in for good measure, Peter proves his musical diversity and stellar guitar mastery once again, with this four song cd. Starting with the rocking track "Up On the Silver Screen" with catchy duel guitar rhythm and riffs.
Track two "The Last Puff" with more pleasing guitar work from Blast and Richards (Stay Tuned for a new video of this song).
"In the Morning Sun" is third on the EP. A bit Trippy Psychedlic tune that right away Stones fan's will pick up on as a blatant nod to "Sympathy for the Devil" complete with a Bo Diddley beat and if you ask me Jimi Hendrix may have been channeled briefly as well in some guitar segments.
"Ride" reminds me of an Irish Pub ballad that eventually breaks into an electric / acoustic blend of guitars.
After only four tracks we of course are left wanting more. There could be a new release in the works of studio and live cuts. As Peter's website says "Be a Blastoholic" and pick up or download your copy of "Straight Up No Ice" today... "It's guaranteed to annoy the neighbors !".
Straight Up No Ice, review By: Cary Doll. Sugarbuzzmagazine (2010)
- Peter weaves different genres and the yin-yang of life so effortlessly, it makes you wonder if the Devil was on one shoulder and an Angel on the other. I liked them all a whole lot at first, but now I love them. Track Listing: Up on the Silver Screen, The Last Puff, In the Morning Sun, Ride.
Straight Up No Ice review By: Don Daley, (Uberrock,UK 2010)
- Following on from 2009's fantastically named "A Plush Horse... with a Monkey on a String", Mr. Blast lets it rip with a four track EP, whilst it's always nice to have a new release from Peter Blast I'd love to have had a new long player. This is good but should be great, so I'll just have to wait for the next Peter Blast installment.

- One thing you can't do is pigeonhole Peter's work, which I am sure is how he likes it. It's all rock n roll as he says, but he covers the gamut of rock, punk, glam, blues, a bit of country, you name it, and it's all done with finesse. His newest is no exception and is an eclectic collection of all the above featuring true rockers, along with ballads and instrumentals. Peter has a very unique voice and strong vocals, laced with a touch of cigarettes and whiskey that all Keith Richards fans should appreciate. Mr. Richards and the Stones are of course one of Peter's many musical influences. His lyrics are vivid, well thought out and paint pictures & stories. He creates some haunting melodies and some voracious jams. The cd requires quite a few listens until one can fully appreciate each track because each time you listen you will hear something new. I am loving the beautiful "Chinese Dragonflies", the openning track "HURT" with a touch of Richards/Wood interplay with the opening line "Is your religion becoming taboo?". I would be remiss not to mention the clever & catchy "Butterflies & Damsels in Distress", "My Right Arm, Wrong Vain". The middle eastern melodic "If Only I had a Crystal Ball" and a fabulous tribute to Johnny Thunders "Dead or Alive" including guitarist Steve Conte of the N.Y. Dolls.

- "A Plush Horse...with a Monkey on a String" By: Peter Blast : Peter Blast dazzles, Peter Blast shines, Peter Blast rocks. How can one person be so talented? He has a habit of writing some of the most catchy, beautiful and dream-tastic music, with just enough rock to make it all roll. This latest release doesn't deviate one bit from this winning formula and in fact, improves it slightly!! I Love it! He's like a fine Barolo, aged nicely and well-rounded as a Performer.
punkglobe.com (UK) - Peter Blast is a Living rock n roll Legend, who is still wiping the floor with the competition. Peter delivers a brand of trashy rock n roll that seriously puts him in the same league as the likes of the NY Dolls. I've already had the pleasure of hearing some of his forth coming release and I can honestly say its one of the Best records I've Ever heard.
The N.Y. Waste (N.Y.C.) - Blast's voice is surprisingly strong, he's so switchblade skinny that he barely outweighs his guitar. Peter's act is remarkably similar to his dear departed friend Johnny Thunders yet unique enough to call Peter's own. Oh, and Peter is still alive. Peter rolls with an authority proving he's very much alive and well and as sharp as a knife as ever. Blast and company congealed like Jell-o shots at a forth of July picnic after only one rehearsal session on a wet and rainy Manhattan night. Peter continued to perform High Octaine Rock n Roll that burnt this city to the ground.
Black Angel Pomotions (Georgia, USA) - Peter Blast is the epitome of what a Rock n Roll gypsy is supposed to be. looks included. A religious experience to be treasured. There's so many standouts its impossible to speak of them all. All the tracks are nothing short of amazing.
STEEL Radio 93 (N.J.,USA) - Its about time someone took notice of this true Rock n Roll Pioneer. The CD is a magnificent compilation of works that the entire world should bare witness to. Peter's blend of Rock, Punk, Blues and Country are a perfect mixture to please.
Hussieskunk (Ohio, USA) - Peter Blast managing to emerge from the seventies punk explosion with a creative fire that, bellows through this "Punk icon". An excellent addition to any cd collection.
